Fight ear infections and sinus infection with Xlear Nasal Wash

Xlear (pronounced "clear") is a patented, non-addictive nasal wash designed to aid in the relief of irritation caused by pollutants, allergens and infections of the nasal passages.

It is the ONLY nasal wash that has combined the unique properties of the natural substance, XYLITOL, and the health-promoting practice of a saline nasal spray to help wash, hydrate moisturize the nasal passages.

Nasal xylitol addresses the source of sinus and ear infections, allergies and asthma. These problems all begin with either bacteria or irritants that are in the back of the nose.

The nose is a nidus — a nest where problems begin. Cleaning this nest regularly removes infection causing bacteria as well as the irritants that trigger allergies and asthma. Anytime a person has a problem that begins in the nose cleaning it regularly should be a part of their treatment. It is often the only part needed.

There are two basic reasons Xlear works as well as it does:

  1. Xylitol decreases the adherence of harmful bacteria to the cells in our nose and selects for kinder bacteria.
  2. The concentration of xylitol stimulates our own defensive washing of the nose.

Ear infections are the most common infection in children. Chewing xylitol sweetened gum four times daily has been shown in clinical studies to reduce ear infections by about 40%. The xylitol works on the bacteria. Regularly cleaning the nose with a spray containing xylitol reduced ear infections in my practice by 93% and used about 100 times less xylitol.

While children get ear infections adults get sinus infections. The bacteria that cause both infections first live, without causing problems, in the back of the nose. Feeding xylitol to these bacteria regularly reduces their numbers and can perhaps even tame them so that they don't cause serious infections.

Allergies and asthma are triggered by irritants in the nose. Regularly clearing these irritants removes the triggers and reduces the problems.

Allergies and asthma, as well as the infectious problems, have also been increasing in the western world, but not as much in the eastern European countries and the underdeveloped world. To see what we have been doing wrong check out increases.

Xylitol in this formulation actually helps and stimulates our own normal nasal washing. In my experience the biggest problem with this spray is that people use it, get better, then forget about it. Pretty soon they are back with the same problems. If you get better don't use it as much, but regular sustained use, at least twice a day, with more when you feel a problem, is the best way to avoid them. Cleaning the nose is just like washing hands — it needs to be done regularly.

To use the spray tilt the head forward, put the tip of the bottle into one side of the nose, aim the upright bottle at the back of the head, inhale briskly and spray at the same time. Do the same with the other side of the nose. Parents should assist children with this until they can do it themselves. (Make sure you can see a spray when they squeeze the bottle.) Infants should be laid down after spraying so the solution goes to the back of the nose where it is effective. I recommend spraying infant's and toddler's noses with every diaper change.

The spray described in these pages is not a drug. This means that the people manufacturing this spray cannot advertise what the spray does for disease and illness. The spray only helps to clean your nose. The benefits come from a clean nose.
