Kardovite has been scientifically formulated with traditional herbal ingredients used for centuries as a path to a healthier lifestyle.

Kardovite Drops should be seen as a Herbal Preparation, designed to enhance health.

Traditional use of these herbs indicate that they may improve blood circulation, help lower cholesterol, treat circulatory ailments, and help break up blood clots.

THE SEVEN HERBS OF KARDOVITE:

Cayenne | Garlic | Hawthorn | Valerian | Milk Thistle | Ginkgo Biloba | Bilberry

CAYENNE

General Description: Cayenne is a general stimulant affecting the gastrointestinal and cardiovascular systems and generally contributes to overall cardiovascular health.
  • Stimulates the appetite, increases the flow of saliva and other digestive juices,

  • Increases the rate and efficiency of nutrient absorption,

  • Reduces cholesterol levels and decreases the blood’s tendency to form clots,

  • Acts as a Hypotensive and a cardiac tonic,

  • Increases cardiac output,

  • Increases capillary resistance, and

  • Strengthens the peripheral vasculature.

  • Cayenne traditionally is used with cardiovascular conditions to improve the coronary blood supply, which in turn decreases Angina pain, attacks, and similar complaints. It is also regarded as a herbal tonic for both high and low blood pressure.

GARLIC

General Description: Garlic traditionally has been used for Heart Disease because of its effects on the cardiovascular system.  It has been shown to help with high Cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and in treating Atherosclerosis.

Garlic contains natural sulphur-based compounds which:

  • Reduce the body's cholesterol creation,

  • Slow plaque formation in blood vessels,

  • Help to dilate (relax) blood vessels,

  • Assist in decreasing blood pressure,

  • Decrease platelet aggregation, and

  • Help to break up blood clots (fibrinolytic).

Safety Factors: Garlic may increase effects of anticoagulant drugs (blood thinner), and blood sugar levels may decrease in diabetics.

HAWTHORN

General Description: Hawthorn traditionally is used with cardiovascular conditions to improve the coronary blood supply, which in turn decreases Angina pain, attacks, and similar complaints.  It is also regarded as an herbal tonic for both high and low blood pressure, as well as for tachycardia and arrhythmia.  Hawthorn also has antispasmodic and sedative properties, and has mild anti-arteriosclerotic effects. NOTE: Hawthorn is an approved cardiac preparation in Germany, certified by the German Commission E.

Hawthorn:
  • Assists with cardiovascular conditions, improves coronary blood supply which decreases Angina attacks and similar complaints.

  • Increases metabolic processes in the myocardium, resulting in improved heart function activity

  • Promotes peripheral vasodilatation, very mild dilation of coronary vessels and increased oxygen use by the heart,

  • Contains bioflavenoids, procyanidins, catechins, triterpenes which maintain a stable heart rhythm,

  • Increases the power of heart contractions,

  • Increases blood volumes pumped with each heart stroke and overall blood flow,

  • Lowers the heart rate, and acts as an hypotensive.

Safety factors: No toxicity has been attributed directly to Hawthorn, however, since it is an active Cardiotonic herb, users should exercise care when combining this herb with other cardiac drugs, or ask their health professional prior to use.
VALERIAN

General Description: Traditional use of this herb has been for relief of sleeplessness, nervousness and edginess, usually the result of overwork and stress which inevitably leads to chronic fatigue.  Working together with the other ingredients, Valerian provides a calming effect allowing the other herbs to work more effectively.

Valerian:
  • Provides inhibition of reflex hypersensitivity and helps to maintain neuro-coronary equilibrium,
  • Contains Valepotriates and Valerenic Acids which have sedative and anticonvulsant activity
  • Helps maintain levels of GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid),
  • Can have direct neurotropic effects on higher centers of the central nervous system,
  • Has been effective in the treatment of tachycardia preceding sleep,
  • Has been observed to act as an anticonvulsant, and anti-arrhythmic
  • Regulates the Autonomic Nervous System,
  • Psychosomatic Disorders and relieve tension and restlessness.
Safety factors: Valerian root and its constituent Valepotriates are apparently nontoxic.
MILK THISTLE

General Description: This herb traditionally is used to promote liver tissue regeneration, part of an integrated approach to the treatment of heart disease where the herbs compliment each other for health enhancement.

Milk Thistle:
  • Contains three potent liver protective Flavenoids collectively known as Silymarin which are Silybin, Silydianin, Silychristin

  • Has Silymarin, which alters the membranes of hepatic cells to inhibit passage of toxins and increases cellular regeneration by stimulating protein synthesis

  • Promotes liver tissue regeneration by increasing cell metabolism and macromolecular synthesis and stimulates liver DNA and Hepatocyte production,

  • Binds to proteins and receptors on liver cell membranes and displaces toxic substances,

  • Has antioxidant activity and inhibits inflammatory enzymes, also depletion of the antioxidant glutathione.

Safety factors: Milk Thistle can have mild laxative effects. There are no known drug interactions.
GINKO BILOBA

General Description: Ginkgo Biloba can help to restore sufficient blood flow to the limbs and brain to restore overall health.

Ginkgo Biloba:
  • Has Cerebra Vascular effects,

  • Enhances peripheral vascular insufficiency, resulting in improved impaired memory function where such condition exists,

  • Dilates the blood vessels helping to restore sufficient blood flow to the limbs and brain in cases of arterial insufficiency,

  • Reduces brain and retinal edema,

  • Is an Antioxidant, and demonstrates free radical scavenging effects

  • Helps prevent blood clots in the blood vessels by inhibiting platelet-activating factors,

  • Increase tolerance to Hypoxia (low blood oxygen levels),

  • Promotes Choline (B vitamin) uptake in the Hippocampus (part of the brain involved with mood and instinct),

  • Is known as a reactivator because it activates the Beta Receptors, dilating airways in the lungs, and peripheral blood vessels such as those going to muscles

  • Has an inhibitory effect on blood platelet aggregation, effectively reducing dangerous clots, or thrombi,

  • Has shown to be effective in preventing coronary thrombosis in recovery from strokes and heart attacks, lowering blood pressure and dilating peripheral blood vessels, including the capillaries.

  • Acts by toning the arterioles to produce a vasodilator effect

  • Significantly reduces pain in patients with obstructive arteriopathy

Safety Factors: Possible interactions: Estrogen in this herb may raise the blood glucose levels enough to alter insulin requirements in the Diabetic — Anti-arrhythmic agent Quinidine, and may increase the Hypoprothrombinemic effect. It can also inhibit Platelet aggregation.
BILBERRY

General Description: Bilberry has demonstrated it can protect the heart in a number of ways including: acting as an anti-inflammatory, inhibiting Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), and improving circulation.

Bilberry:
  • Protects the heart against the stress of prolonged exposure to swimming, this effect demonstrated by measuring the cardiac enzymes such as the crucial enzyme lactic dehydrogenase.

  • Has other cardio-protective actions of Bilberry have been reported including:

  • Possession of good anti-inflammatory activity,

  • Inhibition of Cholesterol induced Atherosclerosis, Modestly inhibiting Serum Platelet Aggregation, demonstrating it also possesses some Anti-Thrombotic potential,

  • Contains Anthocyanosides which: Strengthens the capillaries, Improves circulation and feeds the capillaries by altering the ability of fluid/nourishment to pass through,

  • Inhibits blood platelets from sticking together (platelet aggregation)

Clinical and Treatment History:
  • Patients with blood purpuras and various central nervous system circulation problems were successful treated as were patients suffering from anticoagulation problems and varicose veins
  • As part of a doctoral dissertation, cases –124 of various arterial and venous problems and 10 of capillary fragility – results were generally very satisfactory

  • An in depth investigation of the effects of bilberry in patients suffering from marked hyper permeability of the capillaries found that the treatment effectively restored ionic balance to blood vessel walls and eliminated the leaks that were allowing plasmatic proteins to dangerously distribute on both sides of the membranes.

Safety: The Anthocyanosides in Bilberry may increase the effects of anticoagulant drugs (blood thinners)
